Equipment
Basic research and application of methods for analyzing the behavior of a variety of engineering structures can be performed using the synergy effect linking advanced numerical tools (software) and non-standard experiments (own testing equipment).
In-house Software
- FReET - Feasible Reliability Engineering Tool is a multipurpose probabilistic software for statistical, sensitivity and reliability analysis of engineering problems.
- HLHS - Hierarchical Latin Hypercube Sampling is used to generate a sequence of simulation table designs as the number of samples increases. The method produces designs that strictly satisfy the sample distribution in the Latin Hypercube Sampling method.
- KORO - is used to model five characteristics of reinforced concrete degradation. It can be used to estimate the service life of a reinforced concrete structure and associated reliability levels in terms of the so-called propagation stage (i.e. the time after reinforcement depassivation is reached up to a studied limit state derived from ongoing reinforcement corrosion).
- FIBMOD - program is used to model concrete degradation according to two fib models, which can be used to assess the service life of a reinforced concrete structure and the associated reliability levels in terms of the so-called initiation stage.
- RC-Lifetime - is a free web application for modelling the concrete carbonation that provides the estimation of the initiation period, i.e. the time to reinforcement depassivation due to carbonation. Hence the Durability Limit State may be assessed by utilizing a stochastic approach
- FyDiK - The Application serves for interactive simulations of the dissipative nonlinear dynamical systems based on the physical discretization. Behavior of all elements is fully nonlinear. It gives possibility to solve demanding problems such as large deformations, loss of stability/symmetry, achieving bifurcation points, postcritical behavior, chaotic motion...
- FraMePID-3PB - "Fracture Mechanical Parameters IDentification - 3-Point Bending" is used to identify selected fracture mechanical parameters of a concrete model based on the results of a fracture experiment of a beam with a central notch loaded in three-point bending.
- SPIRRID - Tool for estimation of statistical characteristics of multivariate random functions (Python package).
- AramisCDT - is an open source project with an object-oriented architecture for the identification of cracks in tensile testing of fibre-reinforced concrete.
- Kriging - statistical analysis - The software performs prediction of the array of geotechnical parameter values at locations between and off grid measurements. For this purpose, a statistical interpolation method using a random field model (kriging) is used.
- Design of experiments database
- project OAS - Open Academic Solver is a project developing numerical solver primarily focused on mechanical behavior of solids. It also solves mass transport, heat conducion or other scalar problems described by Poisson's equation. Large effort is devoted to multiphysical coupled tasks. Both discrete and continuous material representations are included.
